Another accomplised day

In our plans to move onto the hook we have run across a few small complications. First was the fact that our batteries were not holding a charge. After further inspection we found out one of the reasons why. Someone decided to run low voltage landscaping wire to the battery charger. What a lovely mess. Matthew spent all day rewiring the engine room to get it up to par again. What an amazing guy. Poor thing was covered in dirt, sweat and grime the whole day. Only to later find out that the alternator was busted, wah wah waaaah (insert sound effect here). Great thing we found a brand new one online, ordered it and it arrived in 2 days, today in fact. So Matthew and Christian start to install it and guess what...need a new bolt to put it on. Go figure. Next step find new batteries, so we start the hunt. We have had some suggestions over the past few days and some great assistance from some of our new found friends, Panama Jack & Dan. After seeing the prices on new batteries Jack suggested to use a larger battery charger. He borrowed one from a friend of his, brought it over and Wah La! it worked. No need for new batteries, at this point. Now on to hunt for the bolt for the alternator. Another we have knocked out of the way is some of our power consumption problems. One being our light bulb's. They seem to suck the juice right out. We found this amazing site online that sold LED bulbs dirty cheap. So dirty cheap in fact us and our friend, Ted who sells the best Cuban Sandwich around, ordered 50 of them. They should be arriving any day. Lastly for the newest project that I am tackling, the upholstery in the salon. Wow! What a difference some fabric can make. I love the new clean, cool and crisp look. Lots of Scotch-guard is going to be called for though, lol.
